Anna Lisa- Time quickly sped away as I browsed through many of your beautiful photos! I will be back another time to decide on a box .... say 12 various photos preferably 4x6 blank note cards. Can you do that for me?

Hi, Lisa! Fancy meeting you here some 25 years later! Just imagine that! I'm Gary. Of course, you don't recall this name. But do you still remember you and Rob playing folk songs in our Spoken English class in Nanchong, China? I'm one of those silent boys. I'm now, however, a talkative college teacher in Shenzhen, a coastal city near Hong Kong and currently staying in Ohio as a visiting scholar. Jay, who is another silent boy then contacted you on Facebook this afternoon. He and I will go to the upper peninsula of Michigan this weekend. And I wish I could have some of your talent in taking great photos.

Hi Anna Lisa, I'm an arborist and public educator in San Diego, and came across your older photos asking about tree species. I noticed a ranger had helped you to identify a fig tree, but not the yellow-flowering one, which is called Tecoma stans, or it's sometimes called just "Yellow Bells". Since you don't show some key botanical details, I cannot be 100% certain; but I think I've seen this tree in Old Town too. Perhaps this is too old information to be useful to you, but I manage a public tree map here and why I stumbled upon your site. Beautiful images anyway!

My daughter, Karen Galle (Crassi) put me onto this site, via email, this afternoon. It has filled in several "empty spaces" in my life with my sister-in-law, Susie and with my nieces and nephews and their families and some photos I did not have of my former father and mother-in-law - Roman and Emma Yoder. I have bookmarked this site and will return often.
